The session, "Boosting Regional Industry Growth with Global ESG Assessment Criteria," will be held at the Venture Café Fukuoka Thursday Gathering on September 11 (Thu.) at CIC Fukuoka (located in One Fuokuoka).
In this session, we will discuss ESG evaluation methods using AI/machine learning and blockchain, and the possibility of using the analysis results to improve export capabilities, using Yame tea, a traditional product of Fukuoka Prefecture, as the subject matter.

Event Background:ESG Analysis Discussion on Strengthening the Export Potential of Traditional Industries
While Yame tea is known as one of Japan's leading high-end tea brands, it faces challenges such as the aging of its production base and the need to strengthen its competitiveness in the international market. This time, Kyushu University and aiESG jointly conducted an ESG evaluation and analysis of the Yame tea industry. This initiative aims to achieve sustainable industrial growth through evaluation based on global standards, while taking into account tradition and local issues.
In this session, we will welcome Mr. Minohara, Mayor of Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and Mr. Tamaki of Fukuoka Bank's Sustainability Promotion Group, who will explain the survey results and discuss the value of ESG criteria and business opportunities in the international expansion of local industries from various perspectives, including those of local governments, financial institutions and researchers.
