aiESG Chief Data Scientist Li is the lead author of the paper "Low well-being among middle-aged people: inherent or external factors" published in the journal Nature.

The study analyzes more than 1.9 million individual data points collected from 168 countries between 2009 and 2022 and provides empirical evidence of a consistent U-shaped relationship between age and wellbeing on a global scale. In particular, the study reveals that middle-aged and older adults experience the lowest levels of wellbeing in a wide variety of settings.
