Background of Business Alliance

In recent years, the number of companies issuing integrated reports in Japan has been steadily increasing, and the base of integrated reports is expanding to include not only large companies but also small and medium-sized enterprises. Integrated reports are not only a means of information disclosure, but the production process itself has become an important management tool that contributes to the enhancement of corporate value. To maximize its effectiveness, it is essential to establish and operate a PDCA (plan-do-check-act) cycle in which the contents of the integrated report are continuously checked and issues are resolved.

On the other hand, while there is a growing trend to utilize integrated reports in the dialogue between companies and investors, there are many companies that do not receive sufficient feedback from investors, and in some cases, the "Check (evaluation)" of the PDCA cycle is not functioning.

In addition, with the rapid expansion of corporate information disclosure, investors are also faced with the need to process vast amounts of information efficiently, and AI-based analysis is rapidly advancing. Against this backdrop, the use of AI by companies themselves in analyzing their information disclosure can be a means of gaining useful insights for them.

aiESG is a Kyushu University startup with a global database on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) based on years of research experience and proprietary AI technology. Our AI technology can be used for analysis of corporate integrated reports, quantitative evaluation of ESG data throughout a company's activities and supply chain, and analysis of the external environment regarding key issues such as climate change and biodiversity.

Through a business alliance with Edge International, which has assisted numerous national clients in the production of integrated reports, and provides companion support for visualizing and verbalizing corporate value creation stories, we will support further advancement of corporate sustainability strategies starting with integrated reports.

By combining the strengths of the two companies, we will build a consistent support system that ranges from comprehensive and objective analysis of integrated reports by AI, to specific improvement proposals based on the analysis results, to support for the execution of operations related to information disclosure.
