INDEX
Hello everyone, this is aiESG Public Relations.
Little by little, the breezes feel cooler and the season is more comfortable.
This summer was the hottest on record, with the highest average temperature in 127 years, so the arrival of autumn is a cause for great joy. We hope it will be a fruitful season for all of you.
In this article, I would like to introduce the aiESG All-Employee Meeting (a.k.a. On-Site Meeting) held in Osaka on September 4 and 5 this year. Through a walk at Expo '70 in Osaka and workshops, all employees were able to deepen their mutual understanding of each other and company policies, as well as reaffirm aiESG's values.
Objective.
- Facilitating Communication
Strengthen mutual understanding and bonding among employees in a fully remote environment - Unification of consciousness for realization of vision
Matching awareness toward the realization of "a society where happiness is linked and no one is left out. - Sharing of business growth goals
Company-wide recognition of future business development and growth strategies
The purpose of this on-site meeting was threefold.
aiESG currently employs a full remote workforce and has members not only in Fukuoka, Kyushu, but also in Tokyo, Osaka, Niigata, and other locations throughout Japan. Therefore, in-person events are a great opportunity to fulfill these objectives.
Day 1
aiESG's main value is "Let's have a nice trip". On the first day onsite, teams were divided according to the five action guidelines of these values, and each team toured Osaka/Kansai Expo.

For Others Team

A member from Bangladesh told us about his homeland.
At aiESG, there were many different nationalities and backgrounds, and we were able to transcend our "differences" to learn about ignorance and spend the "same" time with smiles on our faces.
This is exactly what we embody For Others.

Love the Unknown Team

Win the lottery and experience a "flying car"! It is attracting attention as a new sustainable means of transportation because it moves electrically and can take off and land in a space-saving manner. They call it a "flying car" because it aims to become an indispensable part of people's lives just like a car. It was truly "Love the Unknown" to learn from the unknown experience of future mobility.

Be Neutral Team

In May, RepresentativeUmanaki also took the stageI went to the Indonesian Pavilion, which was built in accordance with the theme of the pavilion. As the theme of the pavilion suggests, it was built to allow visitors to feel nature, culture, and the future. The presence of members of Indonesian nationality allowed us to "Be Neutral" and accept cultural diversity not as mere information, but as a familiar reality.

Do it Anyways Team

From Lithuania.Ms. Nina.I learned about pink soup from It is based on fermented milk and colored with beets, and is popular during the summer season. It was refreshing and slightly sweet, and I enjoyed my first encounter with food in the spirit of "Do it Anyways.

Toward Inspiration Team

At the Turkmenistan Pavilion, visitors learned about the world's most beautiful horse, "Ahlteke," and its industry. Cooperation with Japan, which is blessed with natural gas and has high technology, was also introduced. Currently, there are no direct flights from Japan, and encountering the culture and philosophy of a "country I may never visit" was a "Toward Inspiration" experience.

Every team was able to make their own "good trip"!
2nd day
Information shared by board members

The four board members shared their expectations for the future, medium- to long-term growth strategies, and current issues. Normally, when we focus on the business at hand, our perspective can become narrowed, so it was a great benefit to be able to share our perceptions as a whole through face-to-face communication, which further strengthened our unity as an organization.

ESG Board Game Development Workshop
The next workshop conducted was a board game development workshop on the theme of ESG management.

The participants experienced the game based on a rough draft prepared by Manager Sakamoto. The teams were then divided into teams and challenged to improve the rules.
Chain Impact Sandwich.
Using sandwich making as the subject matter, this game allows participants to experience the difficulty and importance of making decisions that take into account environmental (E), social (S), and governance (G) concerns.
Players play the roles of CEO, procurement, sustainability, public relations, finance, etc., and decide what ingredients to use in the sandwich and what actions to take as a company. They manage a sandwich manufacturing and sales business in the dilemma of cost and ESG evaluation.

(Same ingredients but different ESG scores and costs)
In the process,
- How to Balance ESG Scores and Profitability
- How to balance short-term profit with long-term sustainability
- The importance of making decisions while discussing them with the team
You can naturally learn to

After playing the game once based on the draft, we discussed whether there were any holes in the rules and how to make the game more educational. The participants actively exchanged opinions, such as "It would be better to have cards that reflect contemporary society, such as the new coronavirus and the political situation," and "I would like to distribute the scores in a balanced manner that considers not only the environment, but also human rights and governance.
After discussing suggestions for improvement, the representative teams played again.
As we were excited together with the audience, we realized once again the importance of expanding ESG management to society.
The board game will be further improved and released outside the company.
It can also be used as a learning tool, so please wait a moment for the latest information.
Summary: Two days that embodied "Let's have a nice trip!
Experience, exchange, management policy sharing, and workshops at the Osaka Expo.
What was common to all the occasions was that everyone embodied aiESG's main value, "Let's have a nice trip.
Together with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, we will learn new things, gain new insights, and envision the future.
For those of us who work mainly remotely, these two days were not just an event, but an opportunity to realize "how we will create aiESG in the future.
aiESG will continue to take up the challenge to realize "a society where happiness is linked and there are no wrinkles.
Please look forward to our next "trip"!
