ESG issues facing the apparel industry and the T-shirts produced for this project

The apparel industry faces social issues such as human rights violations in the manufacturing process, environmental impact due to the large amount of water consumption, and massive waste due to product life cycles and business practices.

The material used for aIESG's employee T-shirts is an environmentally friendly, comfortable, multifunctional material called COVEROSS®WIZZARD by hap. This technology is based on photocatalyst, etc., and can add more than 10 multifunctional properties (self-cleaning, antibacterial, antiviral, deodorant, UV cut, heat shielding, cooling, water absorption and diffusion (reduction of stickiness), anti-transparency, sweat reduction, anti-static, anti-furball, etc.) to one fabric in a single process. At the same time, it maintains high wash resistance while maintaining air permeability and texture, regardless of whether the fabric is made of synthetic or natural fibers. It is also possible to "remove functional agents" necessary for fiber recycling of used garments, and it has been decided that the Indonesian Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, which opened on April 13, 2025, will be used for a certain period of time as the uniforms of the operating staff.
